Since its inception in 2005, World Series Wrestling has become the longest-running and most successful wrestling tour company in Australia. From Sydney to Perth, and in every major city inbetween, we have showcased the best performers from around the globe while providing a high-profile platform from which Australian-born talents have catapulted themselves to the world stage.
Based in Adelaide, South Australia, WSW has consistently held sold-out tours in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth and Newcastle. Our June 2018 event International Assault: Best of the Best was the first-ever 100 per cent Australian funded and produced pay-per-view in wrestling history, streaming live to Fite TV viewers around the world. In March 2019, WSW had the honour of hosting the final match of Impact Wrestling Hall of Fame member and now WWE producer Chris “Abyss” Parks.
The company’s premiere title, the WSW World Championship, has been held by current and future Hall of Fame talents including Rhyno, Jeff Jarrett, Bryan Danielson, Richocet, Austin Aries, Brian Cage, John Morrison and Australia’s own Robbie Eagles.
Legendary teams including the Young Bucks and Villain Enterprises have held tag-team gold, while groundbreaking female stars Jordynne Grace and “Impressive” Indi Hartwell have boasted reigns as Women’s Champion.
Additionally, WSW events have hosted title defences for other promotions including the Impact Wrestling World Championship and New Japan Pro Wrestling’s United States Championship.
Stand-out Australian talents including Robbie Eagles, Mick Moretti, Adam Brooks, Shazza Mackenzie and “The Business” Slex have performed in WSW against international sensations like Cody and Brandi Rhodes, SoCal Uncensored, the Briscoe Brothers, Pentagon El Zero Em, Rey Fenix, Joey Janella and “Hangman” Adam Page. Thanks to our ongoing relationships with top promotions in Australia and around the globe, WSW is the only place on the planet where fans can see the stars of All Elite Wrestling, Ring of Honour, Impact, New Japan Pro Wrestling, Triple A, GCW and other companies battle one another.
With high production values, dedicated and ready-to-travel staff and crew and strong ties with top-level performers and companies, WSW is a wrestling promotion like no other. We are an ongoing super card stacked with “never before, never again” dream matches – for performers and fans alike – that can be found nowhere else.
As WSW returns in 2022, World Series Wrestling will look to crown a new World Champion and a Women’s World Champion as we return live with our Phoenix Rising Tour.
